Payroll and Pensions Administrator

Location: Birmingham (Five Ways next to new tram terminus)

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: up to £22k (dependent on experience)

We’re looking for an experienced Payroll & Pensions Administrator to join our professional payroll team at our exceptional offices in Birmingham. Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll and pension processing.

About the role

The key responsibilities of this role include;

  • Processing all aspects of payroll and pensions for our clients and meeting individual deadlines
  • Setting up of new staff and adhering to contractual changes
  • Assisting with queries from clients, colleagues and HMRC
  • Maintain communication with all clients as necessary
  • Processing starters and leavers
  • Processing pensions, sick leave and holiday pay
  • Ensuring all statutory deductions are made
  • Provide professional support and administration to both clients and workers who utilise our services
  • Ensure pensions are delivered with accuracy and consistency
  • Monitor throughput to identify potential bottlenecks and inconsistencies
  • Build strong intercompany relationships with other staff, liaising with the team as appropriate
  • Maintain relationships with our pension’s partners

 

About you

We’re looking for passionate payroll people who can demonstrate;

  • 2 years payroll and pensions experience (qualification would be advantageous)
  • Experience processing high volume PAYE payroll using Sage
  • Experience with high volume pensions administration
  • Good understanding of UK PAYE legislation's and an understanding of statutory deductions
  • Excellent understanding on pension/auto-enrolment
  • Excellent attention to detail and meticulous in maintaining records
  • A strong team player willing to support other team members
  • Competent user of Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and literacy skills
  • Keen to learn new skills and advance within the team
